What is meant by a deep bite?

In the case of a deep bite, the upper teeth overlap the lower teeth excessively, making the lower teeth less visible. A small deep bite is common among many patients.

What problems are associated with a deep bite?

A deep bite can cause the lower teeth to bite into the palate and/or result in improper load distribution, which negatively affects the supporting structures of the teeth.

How can deep bites be treated?

At our orthodontic practice in Munich, we treat deep bites with transparent plastic aligners, such as those from Invisalign®, lingual braces (Win), or external brackets. In extreme cases, combined therapies and the use of mini pins may be indicated. We provide individual and sustainable treatment for your deep bite.
