Transparent aligners - Aligner Invisalign® Munich

In our specialist orthodontic practice in Munich, we offer children, adolescents, and adults discreet and gentle tooth correction with the Invisalign® Munich aligner treatment. Invisalign® uses a series of transparent, removable aligners that can correct dental misalignments without the need for metal and wires, in an inconspicuous and painless manner. These virtually invisible aligners move your teeth, or those of your child, quickly and precisely into the correct position, ensuring gentle tooth alignment correction. They are almost invisible, do not interfere with speaking, and can be removed at any time for eating or brushing teeth, significantly reducing the risk of cavities during orthodontic treatment.

 

At the beginning of the Invisalign® therapy, a specific computer software is used to create a three-dimensional representation of the current state of the teeth and the predetermined treatment goal, divided into individual treatment phases. For each phase, an individual aligner is custom-made by Invisalign® Munich, which should be worn for about 22 hours a day for approximately two weeks. Depending on the degree of misalignment, treatment with Invisalign® Munich's invisible aligners takes about 9 to 15 months. Aligner care instructions

Your specialist orthodontic practice in Munich – Dr. Sebastian Krause – offers aligners, i.e., clear dental trays, as a discreet alternative to traditional fixed braces. The aligners are removed before eating or drinking and during teeth brushing. Please consider the following care, handling, and storage instructions to ensure the effectiveness and longevity of your aligners:

  • Before inserting or removing the aligners, always wash your hands thoroughly. Be careful not to bend or twist the aligners when removing them. Do not use sharp objects to help with this. Wear your aligners for the duration recommended by your orthodontist, Dr. Sebastian Krause. This is essential for the success of your orthodontic treatment.

  • You can clean your aligners with a soft toothbrush and a small amount of toothpaste. Mouthwashes or denture cleaners can damage your aligners. It is recommended to use a special cleaning solution for your aligners once a week or as needed.

  • After cleaning, rinse the aligners with cold or lukewarm water. Do not use hot water, as it can deform the aligners. The same applies when drinking: while wearing your aligners, you can drink water without concern − avoid hot beverages like tea or coffee.

  • Remove the aligners before eating or drinking anything other than water. Always brush your teeth after each meal and clean between your teeth with dental floss or interdental brushes before reinserting your aligners. If you don't have a toothbrush available, rinse your mouth thoroughly and clean the aligners under running lukewarm water.

  • Always store your aligners (cleaned) in the provided case.

 

 

 

 

Aligner elastics

New possibilities have emerged in the treatment method of invisible dental aligners from Invisalign® Munich. At Dr. Krause’s specialist orthodontic practice in Munich, we can now use intermaxillary elastics during an Invisalign® therapy. This means that rubber bands are stretched between the upper and lower jaws to distribute orthodontic forces between the two jaws. For adult patients, jaw surgery is often necessary since not every mandibular retrusion can be treated with elastics. However, moderate skeletal anomalies such as malocclusions of 6-8 mm can be successfully treated with Invisalign® aligners in Munich without surgical intervention.
